    Hi Sandra,

I’ve just read Chapter One and have to say I’m already intrigued by the budding relationship between Hugo and Libertine. I will be very interested to see how this develops.
Libertine is certainly a sassy little madam who likes playing games and isn’t afraid of much. However, is it a lack of confidence or some fear of the unknown that has her holding back just a little?
I think that Hugo will be quite a complex character and I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun developing him as the story unfolds.
The twist with the little girl is unexpected and draws you in. Whilst you have described the fear on her face and the streaks of tears, to me it didn’t quite capture her absolute terror of this horrible, smelly man who was dragging her down the street. That is really my only criticism.
Enquiring minds want to know – we will find out more about the little girl’s back story????
All in all, it flows well, paced quite quick but not too quick and it’s left me wanting to read more!

Mission accomplished I would say – great stuff Sandra!!

Thanks for the feedback Carlie, I really appreciate it! It always helps to know what people think and as you know, I am willing to learn!

There are many answers later in the book and I’m pleased that you are asking all the right questions for them, phew!

I’m thinking it must be time to put Chapter 2 up…

    Sandra
